Jim Jordan Reminds Nation That Democrats Used to Talk About Mueller Like He’s ‘Next to Jesus’

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH-04) sat down for an interview with George Stephanopoulos Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” where he said his Democratic colleagues viewed Robert Mueller as “next to Jesus” heading into the Russia investigation.

Prior to his interview, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA-28) was on the show and suggested that a lack of indictments in the Mueller report doesn’t necessarily vindicate President Donald Trump.

“Well we’ve got to read the report, but what I do know is to date not one bit of evidence to show any type of coordination, collusion, conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the election. And that was the charge, George, when this thing started almost two years ago,” Jordan said in response. “The Democrats were all saying that the president of the United States worked with a hostile foreign country to steal the election, and again, there has not been one bit of evidence to suggest that any of that happened.”

Jordan repeatedly emphasized that the focus of the special counsel investigation was to determine whether or not there was “collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to impact the election.”

“And again, remember, this is Bob Mueller, this was the guy the Democrats and everyone in town said this is the guy we need for the job. He is the best person we can pick. He is—he is right next to Jesus, he can almost walk on water, this is the guy and he will have the definitive statement on that fundamental question,” Jordan continued.

Stephanopoulos then raised Schiff’s concern that “President Trump might be compromised because he was pursuing that Trump Tower in Moscow during the campaign.”

“Come on, George, I mean look, here’s what’s happened. They don’t think this Mueller report’s going to be the bombshell they all anticipated it was going to be. So now they’re launching all kinds of other charges, all kinds of other investigations,” Jordan responded.

The Ohio congressman went on to say that if Attorney General William Barr decides to release Mueller’s report, then he wants “all of it released.”

“I want those 302s, I want the conversations between Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele, the guy who wrote the dossier, Glenn Simpson, the guy the Clinton campaign hired to put the dossier together. I want all those conversations Bruce Ohr had with Glenn Simpson, Christopher Steele. Those recorded—those notes from the FBI, I want all that made public,” he said. “If they do release everything, then by golly, release it all.”

  1. To our Republican Congressmen from Ohio, THIS is the man that should be the Republican Leader of the House, and EVERY one of you that voted for the RINO McCarthy know it and should be ashamed of yourselves. Where is your leader? Where is McCarthy’s voice here? All we’ve heard from him is CRICKETS, with the exception of his little “This case is closed” tweet. This is what you get when you continually align yourselves to those COWARD RINO’s.
