‘Democrats Are Attacking Freedom,’ Rep. Mark Green Says of Democrats’ Impeachment Efforts

U.S. Rep. Dr. Mark Green (R-TN-07) has a lot to say about Democrats’ efforts to impeach President Donald Trump, which he says is an effort to reverse “the will of the people.”

Green tweeted, “The Democrats are attacking freedom. They want to stack the Supreme Court, do away with the Electoral College, and let NY and LA run the country. That’s what we’re fighting. We’re fighting for freedom, we’re fighting for Tennessee, and we’re fighting for you. #WhiteboardWednesday”.

Green also tweeted, “@SpeakerPelosi and @RepAdamSchiff are trying to reverse a national election out of fear and hatred of something they don’t understand—the voice and will of the people. The American people see right through this!”

Furthermore, he tweeted, “Instead of supporting the duly elected President as he travels overseas to represent America to our allies, @SpeakerPelosi and @RepAdamSchiff are hard at work trying to undercut him in another #impeachment hearing. The Democrat leaders don’t care about our country. Only power.”

Also, he said, “@SpeakerPelosi and @RepAdamSchiff failed to advance their sham narrative. Their witnesses “witnessed” no semblance of a quid pro quo, extortion, or bribery. Now, Dems are trying to impeach @POTUS while he’s on an important mission to #NATO. Shameful!”

The Tennessee Star reported last week that Green said Americans have grown tired of an impeachment drama “characterized more by speculation and hearsay than by actual evidence.”

“It is not a crime for the president to disagree with career bureaucrats on American foreign policy. The president, not the bureaucracy, sets the official foreign policy of the United States. Thus far, there has been no evidence that the president violated the law or acted outside of the powers of his office,” Green said.

Green last month was direct while speaking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer this week, The Star reported.

“If this is their shock and awe then I am yawning. A staffer overheard a phone call in a restaurant,” Green told Blitzer. “It’s absurd that we’re even having that conversation. That would not even be admissible in any kind of court proceeding. It’s just ridiculous. This is the best they’ve got.”
