I congratulate these two brave legislators. Most of the others cower in fear before the education industry lobbyists.
The universal backpack bill is exactly the kind of serious initiative needed to challenge public school administrators who want to indoctrinate, rather than teach facts, and on top of all that, are now demanding compliance to “health” mandates that are anything but. Requiring children to wear little squares of fabric to block their breath, becoming moist, germ incubators within minutes, can only be understood as an exercise in training for compliance.
Then there is the psychic damage of being gagged, “social” distanced, constantly monitored and hectored, and warned that you could cause someone’s death, should you dare to offend. No wonder youth depression and suicide are at all time highs. No wonder parents are starting to stand up and object. Yet school admin and school board officials are turning a deaf ear to reason and reality. Why should public money continue to flow to bureaucrats like this?
