J.D. Vance to Speak at Trump’s Pennsylvania Rally

Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance will speak at a rally hosted by former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, according to a release from Trump’s Save America PAC.

The rally, which will take place on Friday, is located in Western Pennsylvania and will include multiple candidates that Trump endorsed, like Dr. Mehmet Oz and Representative Alex Mooney.

Vance is coming off a primary win in Ohio, where he defeated a crowded field that included millionaires funding their own campaigns. Trump’s endorsement likely helped the bestselling author shoot up the polls in the final weeks, ultimately winning by a sizable margin.

Like Vance, Oz is running against a host of other Republicans in the GOP primary for the state’s U.S. Senate seat. Other notable candidates include former lieutenant governor contender Jeff Bartos, political commentator Kathy Barnette, former ambassador to Denmark Carla Sands, and businessman Dave McCormick.

Polling since the announcement has shown Oz consistently in the lead. However, unlike Vance, he has not jumped out to a notable lead since the endorsement.

“This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country. The Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a tremendous opportunity to Save America by electing the brilliant and well-known Dr. Mehmet Oz for the United States Senate. I have known Dr. Oz for many years, as have many others, even if only through his very successful television show. He has lived with us through the screen and has always been popular, respected, and smart,” the former president said in the original endorsement.

But, Trump’s endorsement was met with hesitation among notable conservative voices at the state and national level, as many pointed to Oz’s record on crucial subjects.
