Congressman Jim Jordan: ‘It’s Time We Know Who Started This Whole Thing’

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH-04) and twenty-nine of his colleagues crashed Adam Schiff’s impeachment “party” Wednesday. The GOP Reps attempted to gain access to the secret hearings. Jordan told the press, “It’s time we know who started this whole thing.”

“Why don’t we know?” the Conservative Congressman asked. “Why don’t we know who the person is who started this whole charade that Adam Schiff is now doing in the bunker of the basement of the Capitol?”

Some of Jordan’s questions were tweeted by the Oversight Committee Republicans,

• Why don’t we know who the whistleblower is?
• Why is this so-called #impeachment “inquiry” being ran secretly in the basement of the U.S. Capitol?
• Why are the American people being left in the dark?

@RepAdamSchiff owes us all answers.”

House Republicans declared, “It’s simple. The American people deserve transparency, yet House Democrats continue to ram through their impeachment investigation in secret and behind closed doors. ‘What are the Democrats hiding about the impeachment inquiry’?”

“As I said last night on the floor of the House, 435 member of the House representing over 300 million Americans, and the only one of those 435 who know the individuals who started this whole thing, the only one is Adam Schiff,” Jordan stated. “Why don’t the rest of us know? More importantly why don’t the American people know?”

“I think the American people, as I’ve said before, they understand fairness and they instinctively know that what is happening here is not fair…It’s time that we know who started this whole thing, the more than half a dozen folks he [the whistleblower] referenced that said over the past four months more than half a dozen people have informed me about this complaint that he filed. Who are those people?” Jordan queried.

“We’ve had seven witnesses to date, I don’t think any of them have been the ones the so-called whistleblower was referring to. So we need to hear from them, and we need it done in the open so the American people can see.”
