Delaware County Library ‘Safe Space’ for LGBT-Identified Children Part of Broader Agenda Targeting Small-Town America

The Delaware County District Library’s Delaware City Branch is advertising a “safe space” for LGBT children. The poster on the door of the “safe space” room has a picture of Jazz Jennings — the boy whose transition has been televised on TLC (The Learning Channel).

Ohio Value Voters exposed the issue.

David Arthur, who lived as a transgender woman for 30 years said, “They want these confused, sexualized children in one area so that they, the movement, know where they’re at – what better way to target children.”

Arthur was targeted and sexually abused as a child, leading to life as a transgender prostitute. He was on his death bed from AIDs when he made a decision to believe in Jesus. He was miraculously healed – there is no trace of the AIDs virus – and now he lives to share what God has done for him with the church and people in the LGBT community.

Arthur talked about the activist plans for pushing the LGBT agenda.

“They are infiltrating all these small towns especially. The small towns are the ones afraid to be sued and they don’t want to deal with it, so they go ahead and allow it [LGBT activism]. And once all these small towns around the big cities are doing it, then the big cities have no choice,” he said.

“I’ve been watching – smalls towns that are particularly Christian will have all the little towns around them already implementing the LGBT story times, drag classes, and whatnot then it forces their hand into partaking of it themselves, then the Christian towns will have no choice. They try to go after the towns that aren’t overtly Christian first,” Arthur said.

Linda Harvey, president of Mission America, agreed that small town America is being targeted. “Get ready, America. Local libraries and city councils are being appropriated by ‘LGBTQ’ activists because you are considered low-hanging fruit,” she wrote in article this week entitled, LGBT Strategy Targets Small Towns and Their Libraries.

The library plans are not exactly secret, although some of their schemes are. Last month at their national conference it was discovered that the American Library Association was sharing “strategies for advancing gender identity ideology in schools and finding ways to bring ‘Drag Queen Story Times’ into public libraries despite the objections of local communities,” according to LifeSite News.

Gregory Quinlan, an ex-member of the LGBT community and retired nurse who spent ten of his thirty years in “med-surg” (medical surgical), told The Ohio Star that Jazz Jennings is not a safe role model for children.

“There is nothing safe about anything regarding LGBTQI-xyz lifestyles. Nothing…The surgery [gender reassignment] is unethical. This is unbelievable trauma that we are pushing and endorsing on families,” he said.

“All these surgeries carry serious physical harm. You are removing the necessary glands that make the hormones that coincide with your genetic makeup, to be technical. It causes neurological changes. It causes cardiovascular and physiological changes, because your body is wired by your chromosomal makeup. It’s an assault to your physiology,” Quinlan stated.

A former LGBT activist, Quinlan agreed with Harvey and Arthur that the agenda was to indoctrinate children through schools and libraries, but he went further.

“It is the agenda of the LGBTQ movement to absolutely take over every aspect of society – so that children are inculcated with all things LGBTQ. It has nothing to do with equality. The word equality is a tool. It’s about dominance.”

Quinlan is the past president of PFOX – Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays.
