J.D. Vance Knocks Tim Ryan over Historic Inflation

Republican U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance knocked his liberal opponent Tim Ryan over the historic inflation that is ripping through the country.

Vance connected Ryan to the latest numbers that detailed prices have risen 9.1 percent compared to one year ago—the highest since the 1980s.

The numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics detailed that prices rose 1.3 percent from the previous month alone.

According to the Republican, Ryan’s voting record, as a current member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has directly contributed to the increase in prices.

“We’ve hit 40-year-high inflation for a simple reason: Joe Biden and Tim Ryan have decimated America’s energy sector and spent money we don’t have instead of rebuilding our broken economy. The Biden-Ryan agenda has failed Ohio. It’s time for new leadership, and a new direction,” Vance said in a statement.

While Ryan’s campaign did not immediately respond to the numbers, Ryan acknowledged the numbers from his official congressional account.

In his response, the Ohio lawmaker seemingly advocated for bipartisan negotiations for legislation. However, Ryan’s voting record indicates that he has voted the same as Speaker Nancy Pelosi 100 percent of the time.

“Seeing lots of “9.1%” talk from the same people who repeatedly voted against legislation to bring inflation down and get relief out the door. How about coming to the table instead of rubbing this number in the faces of working people who already know how bad it is?” he said in a tweet.

Throughout the campaign, Vance will likely attempt to repeatedly tie Ryan to President Joe Biden and the state’s inflation level. According to polls, Biden’s approval rating is below 30 percent in Ohio.

On the other hand, Ryan has attempted to avoid the connection to his party, preaching bipartisan solutions and skipping an event with Biden.

What Vance really needs to do is start running TV ads on local channels. Every single evening I see one of Ryan’s on my local cbs station.
Vance-just put out 30 second spots that point out Ryan’s hydin’ that he’s is, and has been, an ELECTED Democrat since 2003 and that he has ONLY voted ‘aye’ on the bills that Nancy P. and Biden voted for.
His latest commercial has Stark Co. sheriff George Maier-IN UNIFORM- claiming Vance called law enforcement ‘corrupt’ and that he wants to ‘defund the police. (Maier’s department just got $350,000 in federal monies) Politifact called the claims ‘half true’ while admitting that it was only the ATF Vance called to defund-attacking it for keeping gun registration records it is supposed to destroy and that it was ONLY the FBI that he called “irreparably corrupt and broken…” NOT any local, state or city department.
