President Trump, RNC Announce $10 Million Initiative to Fight Democrat Voter Fraud

by Eric Lendrum

A joint effort between President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee has been announced, with the two groups vowing to spend at least $10 million in various lawsuits against Democratic efforts to commit voter fraud in key swing states, Politico reports.

One such initiative is a lawsuit filed in Michigan, with the RNC and the Michigan GOP filing a motion to join in as defendants on a case involving the far-left group Priorities USA, which is suing in response to stricter laws on ballot-harvesting and coordinated efforts to transport voters to and from polling places.

Speaking on the matter, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said that “these actions are dangerous, and we will not stand idly by while Democrats try to sue their way to victory in 2020.” In response, the chairman of Priorities USA, Guy Cecil, falsely accused the RNC of “disenfranchising voters cross the country.”

Democrats and left-wing activists have repeatedly and falsely claimed that stricter voting laws amount to “voter suppression.” Practices such as ballot-harvesting, which is legal in California, as well as voting without photographic identification, have led to widespread voter fraud in contests that almost always benefit Democrats, including the close results in New Hampshire in 2016, and multiple congressional races in California in 2018.
