Trump Announces Cincinnati Campaign Rally

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign announced Monday that he will return to Ohio on August 1 for a campaign rally in Cincinnati.

This will be the first rally in Ohio since Trump officially began his reelection campaign, but his 29th rally in Ohio since first running for office and his fourth in Cincinnati. Trump will be joined by Vice President Mike Pence at the August 1 rally, which is set to take place at the U.S. Bank Arena at 7 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. and tickets are currently available online.

“President Trump looks forward to celebrating his achievements with the great men and women of Ohio,” said Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. “With a stunning 224,000 jobs created in June, 3.1 percent wage growth over the last year, and unemployment at its lowest point since 1969, President Trump continues to reach new economic heights and create opportunity for Americans across the nation.”

Trump kicked off his reelection bid at a June 18 rally in Orlando, Florida. As The Ohio Star reported, supporters gathered in dozens of locations across Ohio to watch Trump launch his campaign. Steve Buckingham, the Ohio state director for Trump’s reelection campaign, said he knew of more than 30 watch parties planned statewide.

“We did not really transfer power from one party to the other, but we transferred power back to you,” Trump said during his speech.

Mandi Merritt, regional communications director for the Republican National Committee, recently told The Ohio Star that “under President Trump’s leadership, our nation’s economy is reaching unprecedented heights with record low unemployment and increased wage growth in Ohio and throughout the country.”

“If Democrats choose to take on the economy in 2020, it will be their own losing game,” she said.
