Trump Campaign and RNC Announce Ohio Leadership Teams Ahead of Rally

President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee have announced their Ohio leadership teams ahead of Thursday night’s Keep America Great rally in Cincinnati.

Steve Buckingham was named RNC state director, while Clayton Henson will serve as RNC regional political director. Bob Paduchik is the RNC’s Ohio senior advisor, according to a press release.

“In 2016, President Trump won Ohio commandingly and 2020 will be another great year for the President and all Republicans in Ohio,” said Brad Parscale, campaign manager of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., and Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the RNC, in a joint statement.

“In 2016, President Trump made promises to the great men and women of Ohio, and in 2020, President Trump returns to Ohio with clear, concrete successes,” they said. “Our Ohio leadership team will spread the good news of the Trump presidency and the benefit of Republican policies across the Buckeye State with an unstoppable team of trained volunteers to cement a 2020 victory.”

The campaign touted the fact that Ohio has added 92,800 jobs overall and 18,900 manufacturing jobs since President Trump’s election. The state’s unemployment level, meanwhile, has dropped more than a percentage point—from 5.2 percent to 4 percent.

The newly announced Ohio team also includes a number of honorary state chairs, such as Gov. Mike DeWine, Sen. Rob Portman, and Rep. Jim Jordan.

Trump is set to visit Cincinnati Thursday night for a campaign rally at the U.S Bank Arena. This will be the first rally in Ohio since Trump officially began his reelection campaign, but his 29th rally in the state since first running for office.

He will be joined at the rally by Vice President Mike Pence, who was in Ohio Tuesday morning to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new manufacturing plant in Lancaster, as The Ohio Star reported.

“President Trump looks forward to celebrating his achievements with the great men and women of Ohio,” Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., said of the Cincinnati rally. “President Trump continues to reach new economic heights and create opportunity for Americans across the nation.”
