Former Trump Campaign Manager Advising Potential GOP Primary Challenger to Gov. Mike DeWine

Brad Parscale, President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, is currently advising former Representative Jim Renacci on a potential primary challenge to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, according to a report from NBC News and confirmed by Parscale.

Parscale said he is serving Renacci in an unpaid role.

“Ohio needs a change, and I think Jim Renacci is the right guy to stand up to Biden’s job-killing liberal agenda,” Parscale said to NBC News.

In his advising role, Parscale tapped Trump’s former pollster, Tony Fabrizio, to explore DeWine’s popularity and the probability of a successful GOP primary challenge, specifically from Renacci.

“This is a very precarious position for a sitting Governor to be in with members of his own party, making him a chief target for a more conservative Republican looking to lead the people of Ohio,” a memo drafted by Fabrizio states.

Governor Mike DeWine has continuously been criticized by other Republicans on his response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent regulations DeWine enacted. Further, DeWine was photographed in early May seemingly violating his own COVID-19 regulations, as reported by The Ohio Star.

The poll conducted by Fabrizio involved 600 likely GOP primary voters and demonstrated DeWine’s decreasing stature among GOP votes. The results showed Renacci at 42 percent compared to DeWine’s 34 percent in a hypothetical head-to-head challenge.

“I think the poll speaks for itself. I’ve been saying that Gov. DeWine is under water with Republican voters,” Renacci said.

Voters elected Jim Renacci to represent the 16th Congressional District as a part of the historic “red wave” in 2010. After serving four terms in the House of Representatives, he did not run for re-election in 2018, opting instead to challenge Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, where he was defeated by 7 percentage points. Renacci has since remained plugged into the Ohio Republican party and served as a local county Republican Party chair. Renacci has been consistent in his criticism of DeWine.

  1. Leading the mob chasing him

This governor was being chased by the crowd, the legislation in the house, and instead of being seen as being chased he decided to get out front of the mob to appear to be leading those chasing him.

This governor decided to punish the citizens of Ohio by post dating his removal of restrictions to after the Memorial Day weekend. This was his way of looking like he was doing a good deed, but he couldn’t resist sticking it to the people one more time on the way out.

USAToday 5/12/21: “In March, lawmakers voted to override DeWine’s veto of Senate Bill 22, which allows legislators to end health orders, including the state’s mask mandate. That law takes effect June 23.” – DeWine knew his time was dwindling away, therefore as noted above, he decided to lead the mob chasing him

You have my vote Jim. I will never again vote for DeWine. He is a tyrant who needs to be defeated!

I have said it before & I will say it again, Gov. DeWine will be a one term governor. Jim will have my vote this time. I will not endorse DeWine again after his so called mask mandate. I have had 3 covid-19 tests since Feb. 27th and all were negative. No way in Hades are they putting that vaccine in my body. I said that Gov. DeWine would end his tyrant orders when he came up for re-election and it looks like I was right. We don’t need a tyrant in Ohio anymore!
