Pastor Sees African-American Community Rising Up Against Abortion, Credits President Trump and Exposure of Planned Parenthood Selling Baby Parts

The National Black ProLife Coalition was joined by approximately 75 pro-life leaders and supporters from around Ohio and the nation at their press conference at Preterm Abortion Clinic in Cleveland on Tuesday. The purpose was to draw attention to the tragic abortion-related death of Tia Parks.

Although the local media appeared to be a “no show,” something new was happening. A movement against abortion is growing in the black community. Pastor Walt Moss said, “I feel like it’s new. I think we’ve been gaining, since President Trump has been in office, I feel like we’ve been gaining ground in the African-American community when we point to the pro-life issues and how it’s been decimating the black community.”

“What’s going on with all these baby parts and babies that they’ve sold. I think it’s opening the eyes finally of people everywhere, and specifically African-American people now,” Pastor Moss told The Ohio Star. “You can’t deny when that comes out, in that case out in California here these last two weeks, that Planned Parenthood has been selling baby parts and they want to harvest a baby right after death, the more value it is. I think all that comes out, it awakens people out of their sleep and slumber and their disbelief.”

Pastor Moss’ wife Darleen attended the event as well. She shared on her Facebook a startling statistic announced at the conference by Catherine Davis of The Restoration Project who flew in for the event from Atlanta. “How many know that in 1960 there was a USA population of @18,800,000+ Blacks and since 1973, over 20,000,000 Black babies have died in abortion? #genocideinaction.”

Ms. Davis had done the research and discovered that more African-American babies have been aborted since 1973 than were counted in the 1960 census. And those abortion numbers only count legal abortions where the woman claimed a race on her paperwork, so 20,000,000 is a conservative number. She also told the crowd about the importance of the black community speaking out against the “targeting” of the black population by the abortion industry.

Mrs. Moss took pictures of the pro-life leaders who attended. “Two pix of leaders from 9/17/19 at The Press Conference at Preterm Mill in Cleveland where the lack of real healthcares for mothers and babies was addressed. We were following up on the recent death of Tia Parks…”

Pro-life leaders who attended the event included Meg Wittman from Cincinnati Right to Life, Ed Sitter of Greater Toledo Right to Life, Denise Leipold from Right to Life of Northeast Ohio, Dayton Right to Life’s Margie Christie, Jacqui Fesko from Lake County Right to Life and Rachel Citak and Ruth McNeil from Citizens for Community Values.

Molly Smith, Executive Director of Cleveland Right to Life, called for an investigation of the Preterm facility by Cuyahoga County’s Prosecutor Michael O’Malley.

In addition to Pastor Moss, several black pastors attended and spoke to the group. Reverend Arnold Culbreath, founder of Breath of Life in Cincinnati, recited a “roll call” of many of the black women killed in our country by abortion – including Lakeisha Wilson. Ms. Wilson passed away in 2014 after having an abortion at the same Preterm facility responsible for the death of Tia Parks and her unborn twins.
