Baylor Pediatrics Professor Who Is a Fauci Disciple Rips Medical Freedom Movement as ‘Anti-Science Aggression’ and ‘Major Killing Force’

A fervid follower of retiring Dr. Anthony Fauci said the global medical freedom movement should be called “anti-science aggression” because it has become a “major killing force … linked to far extremism on the far right” and has led to the deaths of 200,000 Americans “who needlessly lost their lives because they refused a COVID vaccine.”

In a political rant against those who have exposed the collusion between the federal government, the giants of technology, and the pharmaceutical industry in promoting the mRNA COVID shots, Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology at Baylor College of Medicine, posted a video message to Twitter that was retweeted by the World Health Organization (WHO).

“We have to recognize that anti-vaccine activism, which I actually call anti-science aggression, is now become a major killing force globally,” Hotez said, adding:

During the COVID pandemic in the United States, 200,000 Americans needlessly lost their lives because they refused a COVID vaccine, even after vaccines became widely available, and now the anti-vaccine activism is expanding across the world, even into low- and middle-income countries. It’s a killing force. Anti-science now kills more people than things like gun violence, global terrorism, nuclear proliferation and cyber- attacks. And now it’s become a political movement, in the US, it’s linked to far extremism on the far right, same in Germany. So this is a new face of anti-science aggression. And so we need political solutions to address this.

Hotez’s video message is published as House Republicans are planning to demand testimony from Biden officials with expertise on the origins of COVID-19 in China and taxpayer funding for virus research in Wuhan.

Hotez echoes the very words of Fauci, who retires at the end of the month as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and as Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor.

In a recent interview with ABC News, Fauci said what concerns him the most about the state of science and medicine in America is “misinformation” and “disinformation.”

“Misinformation and disinformation is really hurting so many things, including people’s trust in science,” Fauci said. “It becomes very difficult to get people to fully appreciate the truth of what’s going on — which will ultimately impact how we respond, in this case, to a pandemic, like COVID-19.”

Neither Hotez nor Fauci acknowledges the research cited by many prominent doctors and scientists who say the mRNA shots have likely caused serious vaccine injuries and deaths for which Americans have no recourse.

Hotez received some pushback on Twitter:

Meanwhile, other doctors and scientists observe the medical establishment, led by individuals such as Fauci and Hotez, continue to pressure Americans into taking the COVID shots while suppressing the use of repurposed and inexpensive drugs whose safety and effectiveness have already been demonstrated.

“[H]ow absurd this is … that 30% of the planet lives in a country where ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine is not only in the National Guideline, but is widely used,” said Dr. Pierre Kory, founder and president of Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, during a roundtable discussion led by Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI).

“But you do not see that in United States or in any advanced health economies,” Kory explained. “You look at Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, in all of those advanced health economies, where the pharmaceutical industry reigns supreme, you see the suppression of early treatment drugs.”

Kory asserted that, had hydroxychloroquine been utilized early on, “many hundreds of thousands of Americans would still be alive today.”

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo has also been speaking out about the risks and dangers of the mRNA COVID shots.

“When does sanity return to science?” Ladapo asked.

In a study published in BMJ’s Journal of Medical Ethics, researchers conducted a risk/benefit assessment and ethical analysis of COVID shot mandates for young people at universities.

“Great analysis by outstanding research team showing that mRNA COVID-19 booster mandates likely harm more college students than they help,” Ladapo posted. “Remarkably, universities are willfully turning a blind eye. Students, be aware!”

The researchers noted that college-age students are at relatively low risk of the virus.

They observed that to “prevent one COVID-19 hospitalisation over a 6-month period, we estimate that 31,207–42,836 young adults aged 18–29 years must receive a third mRNA vaccine.”

“Booster mandates in young adults are expected to cause a net harm: per COVID-19 hospitalisation prevented, we anticipate at least 18.5 serious adverse events from mRNA vaccines, including 1.5–4.6 booster-associated myopericarditis cases in males (typically requiring hospitalisation),” they stated.

Regarding the ethics of mandating mRNA shots for college students, the researchers concluded such mandates are “unethical” because they:

  1. are not based on an updated (Omicron era) stratified risk-benefit assessment for this age group;
  2. may result in a net harm to healthy young adults;
  3. are not proportionate: expected harms are not outweighed by public health benefits given modest and transient effectiveness of vaccines against transmission;
  4. violate the reciprocity principle because serious vaccine-related harms are not reliably compensated due to gaps in vaccine injury schemes; and
  5. may result in wider social harms.

“We consider counterarguments including efforts to increase safety on campus but find these are fraught with limitations and little scientific support,” the research team asserted.

Internist and cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough noted in a recent Substack column a change in the demeanor of public health officials as the “message of Medical Freedom” is spreading widely.

“I have noticed throughout the COVID-19 crisis, there has been a distinct absence of town halls, university public presentations, and health department open briefings on the pandemic,” McCullough wrote. “Stonewalling for three years has resulted in pent up anxiety over many aspects of public health particularly mass vaccination.”

“After two years of flooding the zone with ‘safe and effective’ our public health agencies are out of ammunition,” he asserted. “Questions are pouring in about heart damage, blood clots, and neurologic syndromes. Many people want to hear confirmation of their suspicions from doctors in positions of medical authority.”
