Drag Queen Performs Lap Dance on Student at North Carolina Technical College Pride Event with High Schoolers

Forsyth Technical Community College’s Pride Festival organizers invited the high school students who attend schools on its campus to its event that featured drag queen performances, including one in which a drag queen is seen performing a lap dance on a person reported to be a student.

Libs of TikTok, which obtained the video of what appeared to be a drag queen performing a lap dance on a student, reported Tuesday “some parents were outraged that, although faculty members and campus police were present, no one attempted to ensure that underage students were prevented from participating in the drag event.”

The video can be viewed here.

Located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Forsyth Technical Community College has two high schools on its main campus, and the high school students were invited to the drag performance, the report observed.

A statement reportedly sent to Libs of TikTok by Forsyth Tech apparently showed no regret for allowing minors to attend.

“Forsyth Tech is committed to being a place of promise for our students. In order to fulfill that promise, we have clearly spelled out our mission, vision and equity statements,” the statement said.

A spokesperson also confirmed the drag performance event was open to all students on campus, including high school students.

“These students, like all college students, are open to attend any student event,” the statement added.

Representatives and ministers from various churches apparently showed up for the event as well.

“Forsyth Tech maintained that faculty, staff and campus police were there to ‘make sure that this was a safe event for our students,’” Libs of TikTok noted.

The college’s Pride Club touted drag queen performances as well as food and drink in advance of the event.

“We were so proud to host our second PrideFest to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community and spread love and acceptance,” the Forsyth Pride Club boasted, touting as well that representatives of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) would be attending the festival.
