Reacting to the conviction of former White House adviser Steve Bannon on contempt charges Friday, Republicans and activists said Democrats were selectively enforcing the law and could expect a backlash should the GOP take the House in November.
Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chair Jenny Beth Martin told “Just the News, Not Noise” that the prosecution of Bannon could set a precedent of using congressional committees to go after political enemies.
Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) blasted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly using “threat tags” to monitor and investigate concerned parents that the FBI deemed unsafe.
According to a letter from GOP members of the House of Representatives, whistleblowers informed House Republicans that the government agency used the tags to launch investigations across the country.
Tea Party Patriots Action — the political action arm of the populist conservative movement that sprang up in 2009 — is calling upon House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy to strip GOP Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger of their conference memberships.
“As members of the January 6 committee, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger have become willing agents of Speaker Pelosi’s war on President Trump, Trump administration officials and Trump supporters,” says Jenny Beth Martin, an honorary chairperson for the group and an early member of the grassroots Tea Party movement.
Tea Party Patriots will focus on training and helping elect “constitutionally conservative” candidates for local elections across the country.
The organization is partnering with American Majority to encourage residents to “step up and participate in government.”
“As we watch a full-fledged attack on our freedoms from the local level all the way to the federal level, we simply can’t depend on the current class of politicians to save us,” Jenny Beth Martin in a statement. “From local school boards allowing — and, in some cases, forcing — our children to learn about anti-American concepts to city councils, mayors, and governors forcing mandates on the population that are a direct violation of our rights as free people, the time for patriots to step up and participate in government is now.”
Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) on Monday called on the leadership of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) to resign.
The organization apologized on Friday for a letter sent to the Biden administration, which called on the federal government to investigate concerned parents who spoke out against recent trends in school curriculum.
Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) on Thursday released a video tutorial for parents across the country, educating them on the National School Board Association (NSBA) and urging opposition to the organization.
Recently, reports showed that the NSBA worked with the Biden administration to call on Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate parents that have raised concerns about school curriculum.
Jenny Beth Martin and Tea Party Patriots Action will join with the American Conservative Union, other conservative organizations, and members of Congress to hold a rally on Capitol Hill in support of the Cuban people.
In addition to Martin, Leader Kevin McCarthy, Matt & Mercedes Schlapp, Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, Sen. Marco Rubio are among the scheduled speakers who will call on the Biden Administration to take action.
Members of the Tea Party Patriots organization published a guide for citizens to push back on Critical Race Theory (CRT) teachings in public education throughout the country.
The guide is meant to inform parents and concerned citizens on the fundamental beliefs of CRT and how the ideology is being spread through school systems.
