ICE Arrests 216 Illegal Aliens with Drug Convictions

Over the course of a 12-day operation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested over 200 illegal aliens with a wide array of convictions for drug-related charges, including trafficking and possession.

As reported by Fox News, the arrests occurred from March 11th through March 22nd across 25 different cities, ranging from Seattle, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts. The drugs involved in the charges included cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine, among others. The arrested illegals came from 30 different foreign locations.

Harvard Morgue Manager Charged in National Cadaver Trafficking Scandal

Harvard Medical School’s morgue manager and his wife have been indicted by a federal grand jury for stealing donated human remains from the institution and selling them in a national trafficking ring.

Over the course of 2018-2022, Cedric Lodge, the former Harvard morgue manager, and his wife, Denise, allegedly robbed the school of human remains, including bodies of stillborns that were intended to be cremated and returned to their families. The charges were officially announced on June 14.

GOP Bill Would Make Abortionists Report Victims of Trafficking

Republican North Carolina Sen. Ted Budd is leading lawmakers in introducing the Stopping Traffickers and Their Accomplices Act.

The legislation, co-sponsored by Republican senators Josh Hawley of Missouri, Roger Marshall of Kansas, and Rick Scott of Florida, would require abortionists and abortion providers to file reports with the National Human Trafficking Hotline if they question whether a woman is a victim of human trafficking.

Ohio Attorney General Yost to Host Anti-Trafficking Summit in January

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) will host his Fourth Annual Human Trafficking Summit next January 26 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. 

Seventeen workshops will take place at the event, including examination of the trauma inflicted on trafficking survivors, best practices for serving those who have endured such crimes, discussion of why individuals solicit sex and review of state policies to reduce the demand for labor trafficking.

As Illegal Migration Explodes, Concerns Grow U.S. Tax Dollars May Be Aiding Trafficking

On a recent congressional trip to the Darién Gap in Panama, where tens of thousands of migrants begin their trek to the U.S. southern border, U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., noted something remarkable.

Western Union outlets were stationed near migrant camps on either side of the gap, making it easy for relatives of migrants who are already in the United States to wire funds. Security officials say some of those funds are then used to pay off smugglers and members of cartels at various points along the migrants’ trip to America.

Tiffany said he fears the COVID-19 stimulus payments approved by Congress may be driving some of the flow of money.
