Ohio Strong Action Kicks Off 2020 Campaign in Delaware County

Ohio Strong Action kicked off its 2020 campaign this weekend in the city of Delaware.

“I am excited for our door to door kickoff. Educating Ohioans on the positive accomplishments Trump has enacted is our main objective. We have a President who is keeping his word and has the guts to fight for the American citizens,” said Mike Gibbons, the PAC’s chair.

A group of supporters was loaded up with literature to hand out and a special app that tells them which houses have voters living in them, so they know which doors to knock on.

The Ohio Star asked Vanessa Treft, the political and grassroots consultant for the PAC, why the organization decided to start in Delaware County.

“Polls show that suburban women do not support our President, so we are starting with them, providing them with the facts of what is really happening with the economy. Since we can’t trust most media to report the truth, we’re going to knock doors and tell voters face to face,” she said.

President Trump has his own website that lists more than 50 accomplishments thus far. A few of those include:

Almost 4 million jobs created since election.

More Americans are now employed than ever recorded before in our history.

We have created more than 400,000 manufacturing jobs since my election.

Manufacturing jobs growing at the fastest rate in more than THREE DECADES.

New unemployment claims recently hit a 49-year low.

Median household income has hit highest level ever recorded.”

Ohio Strong Action is focusing on those economic successes and more, such as the unemployment for women being at a 65-year low.

Minorities are also excelling, according to Ohio Strong Action. Hispanic-American unemployment is at an all-time low. The same is true for African Americans and Asian Americans.

The PAC’s chairman is a successful businessman born and raised in northeast Ohio. He felt called to public service and ran for U.S. Senate, but lost in the primaries. With Ohio Strong Action, Gibbons has found another way to serve Ohio, including his promotion of increased civic engagement. He is doing that by encouraging Ohioans to join their movement and take a stand.

Gibbons’ message is this: “Stand up for a Strong Ohio. Stand for the pro-growth policies of President Trump: Lower taxes, more jobs, and a stronger economy. Stand with citizen legislators and an end to corruption. Stand for free enterprise and against the leftist calls for socialism. Stand for a return to Constitutional principles. Join us. We launched Ohio Strong Action because it’s time to make a stand. And when we stand together, we win.”
